Charlotte, N.C., September 30, 2014Revolve Residential  announced their newest development, a community of 13 townhomes in South End which will be the first for-sale residential product to be developed in the South End since 2010.

The .62-acre development, called Lumina Townhomes, sits on South Church St. between Summit Ave. and Bland St. on a parcel that sat vacant for more than 30 years.

The townhome community offers three-bedroom three-bath homes with 2- car side-by-side garages, which is the first of its kind in the South End. The units will be approximately 2,100 square feet and will be priced starting at $394,800 with some units offering skyline views of Uptown Charlotte.

“We wanted to bring desirable home ownership opportunities to another highly attractive location where renting has been the focus and good opportunities to own are limited,” said Tim McCollum, principal of Revolve Residential. “Our homes are built around lifestyle with spaces to entertain and relax and design features which we think will improve the living experience of the buyers.

The contemporary townhomes will provide homeowners with fenced front courtyards and two balconies on the front of each unit. The sunken lounge features a 8’ tall, 9’ wide sliding door and continuous tile flooring which is designed to create an airy indoor/outdoor space. Kitchens will offer a dine-in island with quartz countertops, Bosch appliances and induction cooktop and a full glass tile accent wall.

Master retreat design features include wall-mounted faucets, 12’ vaulted master ceilings, backlit mirrors and a full ceramic tile shower room with flat pebble floor that emulates a spa-like feel.

Upgrades include a craft beer center, built-in desk, steam washer and dryer and custom closet system among others.

The site is zoned appropriately and construction would likely begin early 2015.

Pre-sales will begin in October, led by My Townhome Realty. The sales and development team is hosting a reveal party on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at Unknown Brewing Company from 6pm to 8pm which is open to the public and contracts will be written.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Revolve Residential is the firm who launched with a 7-home single family development called Cherrytown Bungalows which spurred redevelopment in the Cherry neighborhood near Metropolitan. Their offerings provided new homes with historic charm in a neighborhood, which is now one of the city’s hottest submarkets. Revolve’s principal, Tim McCollum, has interacted with thousands of homebuyers and draws upon that experience to build livable, desirable floorplans and designs.

The general contractor on the project is Copper Builders, the firm building Easton Park on the high-profile site at Carmel and Colony Roads. Copper Builders, founded by Wade Miller, is a local builder with extensive building experience leading both national homebuilders and smaller custom building companies; Miller was the featured builder in the series finale of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

The development is designed by 505 Design and FMK Architecture, and planned/engineered by LandDesign. The horizontal construction team is Liberty Solutions.
